My mother aged about 70 years was diagnosed as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in June 2019. She developed various complications of liver failure like cirrhosis liver, ascites, oedema, jaundice etc. We took treatment from well recognised hospitals based in Hyderabad and got relieved for some symptoms. The only problems remained was ascites and loss of appetite. Doctor advised us for liver transplant. We used to go hospital for draining of ascitic fluid from abdomen very frequently twice in a week. She became too weak to do her routine work.

Gradually in next two months my mother recovered beautifully. She started to take her diet properly, ascitic fluid tapping stopped. We never visited physically Haridwar for my mother`s treatment.   Always we took video consultation once in a month and continued treatment as advised by our doctor. She died from cardiac arrest in December 2023. Today I feel happy, at least, her last three years, she lived a healthy and happy life at our home rather than hospitalised.
